At the last minute, Don and I decided to head up to Nor Cal to hang with our moms on Mother's Day. Our drive was accompanied by the best audio book ever, making it feel like a short journey. First, we stopped by San Jose and made a day trip to Santa Cruz for some beach strolling and clam chowder with Don's parents and brother. An evening with his nephews, a night at the golf range with the rest of his brothers and a visit to D-Day at SJSU rounded out our bay area adventures.
Next up: Fair Oaks! For a day at the park with the whole fam followed by wine tasting at home with cheese and fruit. Mmm. We left with two delicious bottles of wine and a very fulfilling weekend. Can't wait to be back up for my birthday.
