After hearing for years how cool Portland Oregon is, we finally visited the much loved city over Memorial weekend. We instantly knew why it was a favorite—we loved how green it was, how friendly the people were and how much great food was at our fingertips. We checked out the Multnomah waterfall, the Japanese and Rose gardens, tried unusual ice cream and doughnut flavors, ate on charming outdoor patios and walked the Saturday art market. It was very much the lovely experience we were promised and would recommend the weekend getaway to anyone.
