For Don's 32nd birthday in October I decided to surprise him with a trip to Cozumel, Mexico—a favorite destination spot among scuba divers. I envisioned Don going on his scuba excursions while I lounged on the beach with a margarita in hand. Little did I know that once I revealed the surprise I'd somehow be
talked into getting my scuba certification. With a deep fear of the ocean and all the creatures that dwell in it (expect for, maybe, dolphins) I never in a million years imagined this would be part of the plan. But it was. It happened. And somehow I survived—and came out with a lifetime diving certification.
